BULLARD, Texas (ETX Bell) — Attention residents of Whitehouse, Bullard, Troup, Flint, Noonday, Frankston, and Coffee City: A new chapter in local journalism is about to unfold. ETX Bell, a community newspaper from ETX Hometown Media, launches its first print edition in the final week of May 2025, bringing hyperlocal news, sports, business updates, and community stories to the towns south of Tyler.
The launch begins with two digital e-editions debuting in the first full week of May 2025 (May 5-11), followed by the print edition in the last full week of May 2025 (May 26-31).
A Vibrant Voice of Local News
ETX Bell merges the trustworthiness of print journalism with digital innovations like video content and expanded photo galleries to engage readers in ways that matter. Published by locally owned ETX Hometown Media, our mission is to deliver reliable, community-centered news that reflects the heart of East Texas.
“We’re not just reporting the news—we’re building a community hub,” said Shawn Larson, owner of ETX Hometown Media. “ETX Bell connects print, digital, and social media to create an experience that’s both timeless and timely for readers and advertisers.”
Your Stories, Our Focus
ETX Bell will highlight what’s important to you: local schools, small businesses, sports triumphs, and community events. We’re inviting East Texans to share their story ideas, photos, and announcements to help us capture the essence of the region. Later in 2025, our sister publication, ETX Bridge, will launch with a magazine-style approach, celebrating local heroes, businesses, and cultural highlights.
