Terry Kim, Valedictorian of The Brook Hill School’s Class of 2025, has been accepted to many of the most prestigious universities in the nation, including Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Cornell, Duke, Stanford, UT Austin, Johns Hopkins, Washington University in St. Louis, and Emory. After receiving multiple scholarship offers and carefully weighing his options, Terry has chosen to attend Stanford University this fall.
A student at Brook Hill since 2nd grade, Terry has left a profound mark on the school community through his academic excellence, leadership, and service. He is trilingual, a National Merit Commended Scholar, a four-year varsity golfer, and the founder of the East Texas Scholastic Awards. He was selected for competitive scholarships at both UT Austin and Cornell and made Brook Hill history as the first student to be accepted into four Ivy League institutions.
“Terry is a brilliant and humble leader whose accomplishments span academics, the arts, and community service,” said Matthew Beasley, Upper School Principal. “Terry’s drive, character, and creativity make him a true standout—and a worthy representative of the Class of 2025.”
Head of School Braxton Brady added, “Terry exemplifies everything we hope for in a Brook Hill graduate—intellect, integrity, and a heart to serve. His journey is a reminder that when students are challenged to think deeply, lead boldly, and live faithfully, they can do extraordinary things.”
Terry is part of a remarkable graduating class. Brook Hill’s 83 seniors have earned 326 acceptances to 136 colleges and universities and have been offered more than $8.3 million in scholarships. Their collective success highlights the school’s commitment to academic rigor, college preparation, and Christ-centered formation.
