Bullard, TX— The Bullard ISD Board of Trustees has named an interim superintendent to guide the district following Dr. Jack Lee’s departure to take on a new role as superintendent in Seguin ISD. The board approved Mrs. Jan Hill to serve in the interim position during a special meeting held on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Mrs. Hill is a familiar face in Bullard ISD, having served in the district from 2008 to 2020. Beginning in 2008, she served as the director of curriculum while also overseeing state and federal programs. In 2014, she was promoted to deputy superintendent, where she aligned critical administrative functions and provided leadership for the district’s overall instructional program. In this role, she also led efforts in recruiting, hiring, training personnel, principal training and evaluations, as well as managing the PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) processes. In 2019, Mrs. Hill served as interim superintendent to facilitate the transition before Dr. Lee assumed the role in January 2020. Prior to her time at Bullard ISD, Mrs. Hill spent 27 years in various teaching, principal, and director roles in Jacksonville ISD. Additionally, she is a graduate of Bullard ISD.

“I am excited to once again provide support for this great district during this time of transition,” Mrs. Hill said. “I love Bullard ISD and the Panther community, and I look forward to helping advance the district in any way I can.”

The search for a permanent superintendent will begin later this fall.
