WHITEHOUSE, Texas — The City of Whitehouse has released its 2024 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, confirming that the city’s water supply meets or exceeds all federal and state standards for safety and quality.
The annual report, also known as a Consumer Confidence Report, is mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and must be published by July 1 each year. It provides detailed information on the city’s water sources, treatment processes, and results from routine testing for regulated and unregulated contaminants.
According to the report, there were no violations in 2024, and all detected contaminants were within allowable limits. Routine sampling and testing were conducted throughout the year for substances such as lead, copper, nitrates, disinfectants, and microbial contaminants.
“The safety and quality of our drinking water remain a top priority,” the report states. “We are proud to provide residents with water that meets all health-based standards.”
Whitehouse’s water is sourced locally and treated using industry-standard methods, including coagulation, filtration and disinfection, before being distributed to homes and businesses.
In addition to test results, the report includes information about how residents can protect local water sources and reduce water usage. Conservation tips and recommendations for safeguarding drinking water from potential household contaminants are also included.
The city encourages all residents to read the full report, which is available on the City of Whitehouse website at whitehousetx.org.
For more information, residents can contact the city’s utility department or visit the EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 800-426-4791.
