Pawsitive Place Rescue received an urgent call yesterday evening about a dog who had been struck by a car and left injured on the roadside. Our team immediately stepped in, and he was rushed to Tyler Emergency Animal Hospital, the only open veterinary clinic in our area.
Both of his front legs are badly fractured. The vets have sedated him and worked diligently to stabilize and splint the limbs until a full assessment can be done. At this time, we’re awaiting a complete diagnosis – but we are certain that Remington will need an orthopedic specialist and extensive treatment.
We’re asking for your support. This unexpected emergency will bring significant veterinary expenses, and we cannot face it alone. At his discharge early this morning, we had to pay a bill of over $2,000.
