Starbrite Stampede Teams Raise Over $11,600

WHITEHOUSE, Texas — Members of Hot Mess Express and Mustang on a Mission had plenty to celebrate Saturday night, July 19, after raising more than $11,600 to support Starbrite’s programs during this year’s Starbrite Stampede.

The two fundraising teams were honored for their energy, creativity, and unwavering dedication throughout the campaign. Event organizers praised every sponsor, donor, friend, and family member who contributed, saying the community’s generosity and encouragement were the keys to making the event a success.

“They came. They raced. They brought the chaos—and the costumes,” said one organizer. “We’re so grateful for their energy, heart, and the laughs they gave us all day long. Y’all set the bar high for next year!”

Mustang on a Mission took home this year’s Stampede Traveling Trophy—not just for reaching the finish line, but for doing so with unmatched creativity, hilarious video submissions, and nonstop team spirit from start to finish. Team members April Scarbrough, Jacob Law, Miles McCrary, and Ashley Law were recognized for completing every challenge, with supporters turning all the “red squares into blacktop” to ensure Mustang on a Mission crossed the final stop in Gilmer.

Ashley Westerfield of Starbrite Stampede said organizers were thrilled to surpass their $5,000 goal, crediting the success to the encouragement and support from the entire community.
