Former U.S. Army Black Hawk Pilot and Top Motivational Speaker Elizabeth McCormick to Address Arp ISD Faculty
ARP, Texas (AP) — Elizabeth McCormick, a retired U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot and recognized among the world’s top motivational speakers, will speak to Arp ISD faculty Thursday, Aug. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Clark Wayne Roberts Auditorium at Arp High School.
McCormick, who retired as Chief Warrant Officer 2, is noted for her service flying air assault, command and control, and top-secret intelligence missions, as well as transporting high-level government officials. She was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal, and is among the first 100 women to pilot the Black Hawk helicopter.
Following her military career, McCormick has become a leading keynote speaker, presenting leadership and success strategies to audiences worldwide. Her programs draw on her aviation experiences to illustrate principles of leadership, resilience, and confidence. She is the author of “The P.I.L.O.T. Method: The Five Elemental Truths to Leading Yourself in Life,” and has contributed to the “Soar 2 Success” series of business tips.
McCormick’s presentations often include interactive demonstrations, encouraging attendees to step into the “pilot’s seat” of their own lives and careers. Her signature keynote, “YOU. In the Pilot’s Seat,” blends real-life aviation stories with frameworks for developing influence and self-leadership.
