Overshown gives Third Annual Backpack & School Supply Giveaway
On August 9, the City of Arp came together to express its gratitude for Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, who returned to his hometown to host his 3rd Annual Backpack & School Supply Giveaway.
Hometown pride was on full display as children from across the community received backpacks filled with school supplies—all courtesy of Overshown’s heartfelt initiative. In a message shared by city leaders, Arp expressed its appreciation: “The city is proud of Demarvion and what he has done for our community.”
Local residents voiced their gratitude as well. One participant, Anna Hill Bradberry praised the event:
“Great turnout! Thank you Demarvion for all that you do for the kids in Arp. Getting to meet you and get your autograph is so significant to these kids. I love that you always acknowledge where you came from. Keep your heart!”
