Bullard ISD receives “B” rating in new TEA Accountability system

Bullard, TX— Bullard ISD has received a “B” rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the 2024–2025 school year, with an overall district score of 88. This accomplishment comes in the first year of the state’s revised accountability system, which uses new measures to evaluate schools and districts across Texas.

“We are incredibly proud of our district, staff, and students for earning this strong rating under a more rigorous system,” said Interim Superintendent Jan Hill. “These results reflect the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students, and the unwavering support from our families and community. We also see exciting opportunities for continued growth, and we are already building on these successes for the future.”

Several campuses celebrated exceptional achievements:

  • Bullard Elementary School (Grades 3–4) earned an “A” rating with a 94 score, and received three TEA Academic Distinctions in Reading/Language Arts, Top 25% Comparable Academic Growth, and Top 25% Closing the Gaps.
  • Bullard Intermediate School (Grades 5-6) received a “B” rating with a score of 82.
  • Bullard Middle School (Grades 7-8) achieved a “B” rating of 88, showing remarkable improvement with a 20-point increase in Closing the Gaps and a 10-point rise in Academic Achievement.
  • Bullard High School (Grades 9-12) earned an impressive 89, just one point shy of an “A” rating.

The TEA also released delayed 2024 ratings following the conclusion of legal proceedings. For that year, Bullard ISD also earned a “B” rating with a score of 87. According to TEA, 24% of districts and 31% of campuses across Texas improved their letter grade compared to 2024.
