WHITEHOUSE, Texas – Whitehouse ISD students have officially received over $1 million in grants through the Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation.
At this year’s Wildcat Den event, emcees James Wansley and Maegan Schneider announced that the foundation had already invested $988,563.82 into Whitehouse ISD. The plan was to award $34,000 in new grants, but after reviewing the teachers’ and students’ projects, the judges decided to add another $14,267.58, bringing the total to $49,058.27 and pushing the foundation over the $1 million mark.
This year’s funding will support eight projects across every elementary school in the district, plus two at the junior high and a district-wide initiative.
