The Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of an early morning fire that caused the total loss of Lakewood Church in Flint.
Smith County Emergency Services District 2 officials responded to a call at 6:12 a.m. Monday, April 14, that the church, located in the 19700 block of Highway 155 South, in Flint, was on fire.
Smith County Fire Marshal Chad Hogue said his office is investigating the cause of the fire and that the building was a total loss. The church was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
