News Release :Smith County Road 452 at Mill Creek is Open to Drivers
The bridge on Smith County Road 452, at Mill Creek, has reopened today after being closed for about a year.CR 452 was closed after washing out due to heavy rains in June 2024. The Texas Department of Transportation constructed the new bridge, and the Smith County Road and Bridge Department reopened the road on Wednesday, July 9.

We’re so thankful to do what we do and proud of our school system.”The 34 grants will benefit students of all ages and include projects such as interactive.

Texas Veterans’ Military Show Returns to Bullard, Honoring HeroesBULLARD, Texas — The Texas Veterans’ Military Show will return Saturday, Sept. 13, offering East Texans a chance to honor America’s heroes through a day filled with history, remembrance and celebration.The event, held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 655 S. Doctor M. Roper Parkway, features a Medal of Honor parade, classic car show, military vehicle displays and appearances by Medal of Honor recipients.The day begins at 9 a.m. with a parade from Tyler to Bullard, led by the Patriot Guard. Veterans will ride in military vehicles as helicopters fly overhead, including Hueys and a CH-46..
