The annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast was held May 7 at First Baptist Church Bullard as community members gathered in observance of the 75th annual National Day of Prayer.

The event began with Troup 366 presenting the colors and leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Shirley Coe then presented the official proclamation recognizing the National Day of Prayer in Bullard.

Following the blessing of the meal, several local clergy members from Bullard Church of Christ, Bullard Methodist Church, Greater Life Church and First Baptist Church Bullard led prayers focused on families, education, media, churches, the military, businesses and government leaders.

According to organizers, multiple area sponsors helped share the expense of hosting the event.

Food for breakfast was provided by Sadler’s Kitchen, while coffee was provided by Lost Sheep Coffee.
